Ben Gunn & The Junkyard Angels @ Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues

24 Jul

This Thursday I will be playing the washboard and wailing away with Ben Gunn & The Junkyard Angels at one of my favourite night time spots in London and you are all invited…

1000773_541794332534693_478434964_nFor those who haven’t been to Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues at St. Moritz yet… it is almost certainly the best late night Blues spot in London and is always a brilliant night out. Go do your homework and every blues lovin’ soul will say the same.

For those who have been… Need we say any more?

LETS HAVE A PARTY!

Inigo Ugarteburu’s third instalment in a series of mixtapes created for the Secret Showcase Presents is inspired by Latin Music, rhythm, congas, tambourines, timbales and maracas. I recommend you grab yourself an ice cold cocktail and enjoy listening to this one in the sunshine!

Funkology relaunch

FUNKOLOGY
This is THE ONLY east side night in London where you can enjoy all the latest and greatest soul, funk and breaks on a Friday. In addition to bringing you the best soul/funk bands from Europe every month, you can expect to hear your favourite Stevie Wonder and James Brown tracks to get you in the groove and then heavier, newer sounds from the party breaks and funky mashup scenes to take the party off to the early hours. It’s a night of flirty, upbeat music, with an atmosphere that follows. Bring your mates and revel in the good vibes.

Jimi Needles and Hillman Mondegreen curate a monthly live and deejay residency at Bar Music Hall in the heart of Shoreditch. Having launched the brand several years ago in Winchester, it has moved to Southampton, Edinburgh and then to a bi-monthly slot in east London. But Funkology has now reached it’s true home at BMH on Curtain Road for a hard hitting once-a-month Friday night slot.
